Community standards
Culture, made explicit.
Musephoria works because the norms are enforced — by the product, by moderation, and by the people in it.
Review standards
- ·Listen before you write — the cockpit tracks listening and it gates submission.
- ·Anchor notes to timestamps. "The chorus somewhere" is not a location.
- ·Every review names at least one strength and one concrete, actionable improvement.
- ·Address the areas the creator asked about before adding anything else.
Critique guidelines
- ·Honest without being hostile. Critique the work, never the person.
- ·Taste is context, not verdict — say what you hear and why it matters.
- ·Disagreement between reviewers is normal and useful. Don't fight it out in replies.
Anti-spam
- ·No self-promo dumping. Musephoria is not a promotion channel.
- ·No review farming: reciprocal praise rings, credit trades, and copy-paste reviews are detected and moderated.
- ·Low-effort reviews earn no credit and cost karma.
AI policy
- ·AI can help you phrase a thought you actually had while listening.
- ·Generic AI-generated feedback that doesn't reflect real listening is treated as low-effort and rejected.
- ·Never present machine output as your musical judgment — deceptive reviews are a bannable offense.
Uploads & copyright
- ·Only upload work you own or have rights to share for critique.
- ·Submissions are private by default: only assigned reviewers can hear them.
- ·Copyright complaints are handled through support and can result in removal.
Moderation
- ·First-line: coaching. Rejected reviews come with an explanation.
- ·Repeated low-effort or hostile behavior: warnings, credit adjustments, suspension.
- ·Every moderation decision is logged and appealable via support.
